The 2019 event is almost HERE!
We are looking forward to you joining us for a full gourmet dinner, oral and silent auctions, full no hosted bar, live music, dancing. Description of the event below.
How to Get Here:
From St. Helens – Drive US 30 West for five miles. You will pass the Columbia River PUD shortly before you see the sign for the Deer Island Stock Ranch on you right. Follow the gravel road for approximately 1 mile. You will see cattle fields along your way. As you approach the farm, you will see signs for parking in the orchard behind the pool house.
Men: We suggest Black Tie Blue Jeans
Women: Most wear dresses. High heels are discourage because of the uneven ground. Even though it will be a warm day, bring coats because the evenings can get cool.

Our biannual fundraiser, Black Tie & Blue Jeans Dinner, Benefit and Summer Social is held on the first Saturday in August, at the Deer Island Stock Ranch. Strong community support at this event has helped continue ongoing operations of Columbia Learning Center as well as provide hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships to area students as part of the Chance to Become Scholarship.
The Chance to Become Scholarship Program is aimed at students that might not be eligible for a typical scholarship. In most cases these students are considered to be average students and are generally not catered to by other scholarship programs. They may be students whose families do not have the meant to pay for their continuing education. They might also be students with a special talent or they may have overcome behavioral or personal problems. This program aims to give them the start they need to be successful in life.
Come join us for a wonderful night of food, fun and entertainment on the scenic and beautiful Deer Island Stock Ranch
